Right sorry for the late update Thanksgiving weekend really screwed up my schedule and I was a day behind all week. School is going pretty good except for the fact that I have 4 midterms this week, which is not cool. Latin is starting to get insanely complex as I am having trouble figuring out whether 'What?' is nominative or accusative. My Industrial Relations class continues to be boring as we still have to do group discussions and write journal entries about are learning process. Other than that most of my classes are going fairly well, and I've agreed to help a guy in my Finance class so that should help me do some studying. For the most part though I don't have much work for school as there are few assignments and so I have to wait for various test to get any marks and find out where I'm at in class.
Thanksgiving was absolutely wonderful, I went to dinner on Sat. with the guys and it was good to catch up on how things were going in Calgary. I was also able to see a Flames game (thanks Regan) and although they lost it was still a good time. Then came the biggest turkey dinner ever and thanks to my mom's amazing cooking skills I was actually able to eat something that resembled proper food for the first time that week, and of course there was pumpkin pie which is probably my favourite part of the dinner. This weekend has been pretty nice as I went to the Huskies game on Saturday, with Ryan and it was a good game that the U of C won on a last second 51 yard field goal. Then today I went the same church as Esther, a friend from Capernwray, and it was good to catch up on whats been going on for the past year and a bit. The church itself was really nice as it was a small congregation but fairly young. The music was fairly contemporary and the pastor was fairly good. Well I would like to write more, I can't think of anything at the moment and I have to go check on my laundry.
God Bless

Musings of Tyler
Hello people of the Internet, Tyler here with another update from the U of S. Let see new stuff this week, well I had an exam on Thursday in Corporate Finance which I thought I did great as I knew 99% of the material covered by the exam but only ended up getting a 72%. This is not good as I need a 76 in order to get into accounting. On the other hand I have about a 77% in Latin although we haven't done anything that counts towards are final grade yet. Other than that school is going pretty slack as although I have a fair amount of assignments they tend to take only about an hour max. My football team still is without a win as we got blown out 36-0 in our game on Thursday, but hopefully we can go into the long weekend with a win(or a least a touchdown).
As you know this weekend was the C4C retreat at Redberry Bible Camp, and what a spectacular time. The weather was for the most part alright with Saturday being overcast, and chilly for half the day. The speaker was great as the topic for the weekend was about realigning our view of the world with the view of God. A big part of this was focus on His view of the lost, and how as Christians we are commanded to go spread the Word of God. This is something that I definitely have been guilty of not doing and I want to improve on throughout the next couple of months. The one session that probably had the greatest impact on me was the one about our view of God. How often when we see pictures of Jesus he's wearing a nice clean robe petting sheep, or speaking gently to the disciples. Although this pictures are in a sense accurate we were also shown another view of Jesus from Revelations 19:12-16. This struck a chord with me in that it help me to see that God isn't 'safe' but like Mrs. Beaver says in the Chronicles of Narnia "He's good". So I have slowly (and reluctantly) realized that I must step out of my comfort zone in order to grow closer to God. One way I plan on doing this is God willing going on a missions trip with C4C this summer. I again felt what I feel is calling to go to Africa (the first time was at Capernwray), as it happens C4C has 3 trips to Africa (Egypt, Tanzania, and Malawi), all of which cost a fair bit of money. However I have the feeling that if God wants me to go money will not be an issue. So in conclusion I would like to ask for prayer on that I would be able to hear God's plan for me for the next, and also the courage to follow through with what He has planned.
God Bless.
Matthew 28:16-20
PS. Just a reminder I'm coming home for Thanksgiving and hope to see all of you.
PPS. I just found out my mark on the Finance quiz went up to 76% as the prof had made on error on the scantron sheet
